We don't have a scanning system, so we are using manual data entry. We need a way to edit logs that are already created or add logs that users forgot to enter.

In a recent update, the ability to generate QR codes for media items was added.  With this, you'd be able to easily print QR codes for media items via Accudemia on widely available Avery QR code sticker labels.  Once this is done, you'd be able to check media items in and out by scanning their QR codes.  
Also Accudemia now allow you to design and print out customized student ID cards with QR codes on them.  You can scan these, along with the media QR codes, to greatly speed up the check in/out process.
The development team even improved the media checkout screen to make it possible to check items in and out with scanning only - no need to touch keyboard or mouse!
